Connecting people
and business to
nature positive solutions + stories
for collective action.
What’s it about?
‘Sea, Land & City’ is a new multimedia and impact project led by Wonderoom to ignite public engagement and business support for nature positive solutions across the UK as one of the most nature-depleted and nature-disconnected countries in the world.
We combine solution led storytelling with real world impact and engagement opportunities for business, leaders and their teams to be part of collective action for a nature positive future.
Why?
By restoring nature and biodiversity we can support our mental health and wellbeing and the health and resilience of our economy, climate and the natural world around us.

‘Sea, Land & City’
now on WaterBear
Starting in the South-West of England, we chart an adventure with founder Mairead Cahill and team to spotlight powerful nature based solutions in action across our sea, land and city and explore what a more nature connected way of living might look and feel like?
From tripling the size of the UK’s temperate rainforest, to restoring our coastal wilderness, reintroducing beavers and releasing “living pontoons” in our cities — we’ll meet some of the most exciting projects with the potential to lead big impact.
Join Mairead as she treks, climbs, and wades her way through the region to meet these exceptional projects and the people involved to get a frontline experience of nature restoration in action. Come on the journey with us.
Wonderoom is proud to have brought together an incredible group of partners for our first ‘Sea, Land & City’ film
Join our adventure to see these nature-based solutions in action...
#1 Reintroduction of beavers
Mairead canoes down the River Avon in search of beavers with zoologist and Beaver Trust ambassador Megan McCubbin and hears about the powerful impact of these ‘ecosystem engineers’ on flood management and climate resilience.
#2 Restoring our rainforests
We explore rainforests in Dartmoor with Rich Stockdale and Merlin Hanbury-Tenison and learn more about their powerful role in supporting biodiversity, mental health and the role of natural capital to restore these landscapes at scale.
#3 Restoring coastal habitats
Mairead travels to The Solent with Louise MacCallum and Jo Preston to see coastal restoration work at scale with oysters, seagrass, saltmarsh and seabirds, and goes diving with Theo Vickers to see these special habitats up close.
#4 Installing eco-moorings
We sail across to Studland Bay to see eco-moorings in action and hear more from Caroline Price on how this simple solution protects the seabed, enabling important wildlife to flourish while local communities and boaters enjoy the Bay.
#5 Introducing floating ecosystems
Mairead cycles through Bristol with Dominique Palmer as they discuss the importance of diversity and representation in the nature and climate movement. They head to Festival of Nature to participate in the release of floating pontoons into the City’s harbour to support biodiversity and cleaner waterways.
